Why we designed CapMemo

Keep the thing.
Keep the feeling.
A place, not just a folder.
A sketch. A letter. A ticket from a day you still talk about. Some things matter because of what happened around them. A photograph can keep the object. A few words can keep the reason.
Make the first step easy.
Keeping something should not become another project. Open the camera, bring the paper into view, and take the picture. Edge detection and cropping help the subject stand on its own. Titles and notes are there when you need them; a memory does not need a name to belong.
Give a photograph some weight.
Paper has an edge. A frame casts a shadow. A print settles onto a table. These small physical details guide the experience in CapMemo—from the paper slot to the gallery, from choosing a frame to sharing a picture. They make a digital collection feel like something you can come back to.
Leave room for the memory.
We keep the interface quiet so the picture can lead. A frame should support the image. A label should help you remember. Neither should ask for more attention than the thing you came to keep.
Keep the choices yours.
The current collection lives on your iPhone, without an app account or automatic photo uploads. You decide what to keep, what to write, what to share, and when to export a backup. The local core uses a one-time unlock; future optional packs or services may be offered separately.
